The movie Ammuvagiya Naan is about Bharathy who lives and grows among prostitutes, after her drunkard father, a rickshaw driver sells her to them for paltry amount. Bharthy finds love and affection in the most unlikely place, and she also grows up to be one among them.
Her very first customer Tamil professor Mahadevan. Due to his sadistic approach towards Bharathy, others in the house saves the girl and ridicules Mahadevan.
Many years pass by and Bharathy is a young and beautiful woman now and the most popular in the house, As she loves what she does. Enter Parthiban a famous writer, whose last two books missed the National award by a whisker.
He decided to write a story on a prostitute so he comes to the house. He is taken aback by the character of Bharathy and falls for her.
